1. Who can do this Yoga?

4. Where should I do the practice?
Answer: Any clean place can be chosen. Any place, like, - a puja(prayer) room, an ordinary room, the verandah, terrace, temple, park, forest, feilds can be chosen. Sadhana can be practiced facing any direction(East, West, North, South).

5. How and where should I sit?
Answer: One can sit according to one's own convenience, in a chair, sofa, armchair or on a bed(matress should not be more than one inch thick). But the practice should not be done without any asana(seat) i.e.,-the dried skin of deer, tiger, sheep or cloth made of wool, or cotton or silk (without multicolors) or mat made with dried leaves of palm or palmyrah. A white cloth creates a peaceful ambience. Loose clothes should be worn during practice.

6. How do I know I am doing Sadhana the correctly?
Answer: When you are holding the breath, there is lot of heat generated in the body. This heat is coming out like hot air from the head, ears, nostrils, mouth and eyes. At that time cramps are felt on the palms and soles and head feels heavy. Throat becomes dry. These symptoms gradually disappear during the relaxation period.

7. Are there any dietary restrictions?
Answer: People can take food according to their taste. Drink lots of water. Just make sure there is 6 hour gap between your meal and Sadhana. If you eat lunch at 12pm do not consume any solid food till 6pm and do your Sadhana around 6pm and eat dinner. Dinner should only be 60% of what you take for lunch. If you feel like you need more food get some liquids like shakes or milk. But on the whole, the food taken for dinner must fill just 60% of the stomach. In Manoyoga Sadhana energy increases with decrease in food intake.

8. Should I continue with my medicines?
Answer: Those who suffer from diseases, must continue their medicines while still practising sadhana. After preliminary training for three months the practitioners can concentrate on their diseases and cure them during Yogic Sleep. If they are not satisfied with the results they must consult us directly.

9. Why am I feeling some pains after I started the Sadhana?
Answer: Pain in the chest may be felt during the practice. Keep in mind those who practice Manoyoga will never get a heart attack. If they already had a heart attact, they must consult us and start practising sadhana only after obtaining permission. When there is indigestion, constipation and excess gas production during the holding of breath the gas puts pressure on the chest.
Also during the practice lots of heat is produced. Such people have headache, pain in joints, legs, nerves andmucles. When as Sadhana progresses these symptoms disappear. If the pains are intense, discontinue the sadhana for two days and resume later.
10. Q.
You say that no restrictions need to be followed while practicing Mano Yoga Sadhana. But all the scriptural texts prescribe plenty of restrictions, for the development of body, mind and spirit. So, on what basis do you make the statement that there is no need to follow any restrictions?
